3rd Cyprus International Technology Relocation Summit

With the ICT sector now yielding well above 10% of the country’s GDP, a growing number of tech entrepreneurs and professionals have chosen Cyprus as their new home. The country’s compelling advantages tick the boxes of corporates, large and small, as well as their owners and employees, ranging from legal and tax considerations to infrastructure, education and quality of life.

Tech companies from a variety of sectors including FinTech, RegTech, Investment Management, Gaming, Media and Entertainment, make for a bustling and fast-growing cluster expanding from its core in Limassol to Larnaca and Nicosia.

The recent visit to San Francisco and Silicon Valley of Cypriot President Nicos Christodoulides highlighted the great prospects for Cyprus' development in the field of Technology and Innovation. Through meetings with leading companies (OpenAI, Amazon, Google, Nvidia, Oracle, Plug and Play, and Tenstorrent), President Christodoulides highlighted the capabilities Cyprus offers as a technology hub. The announcement of intentions by Tenstorrent and Plug and Play to operate in Cyprus was an encouraging and immediate result, simultaneously confirming the attractiveness of the country's innovation and technology ecosystem and the prospects for its further enhancement. At the same time, the intention of giant companies like NVIDIA and Amazon to explore cooperation with Cyprus and establish a presence in the country demonstrates the breadth and dynamism of Cyprus's technological sector.
